Mission Viejo Parks Flo-Jo Olympiad Park
Mission Viejo Parks Flo-Jo Olympiad Park located on Olympiad Road between Melinda and Alicia Parkway is one of the most special parks in the city of Mission Viejo.
Dedicated to Florence Joyner, affectionately known as Flo-Jo, it serves as a constant reminder of a popular athlete and role model. Flo-Jo was a World Class sprinter, Olympic Gold Medalist and a beloved resident of Mission Viejo.
A large statue of Flo-Jo is situated at the main entrance to the park and was donated to the City of Mission Viejo by the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and dedicated to the memory of Florence Joyner. Flo-Jo is remembered as being a Five-Time Olympic Medalist with 3 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she is described as a hero, a Humanitarian and an inspiration to the community of Mission Viejo.
Lake Mission Viejo is located just across the street from Flo-Jo Olympiad Park.
